AUTHORSHIP PRINCIPLES

The RABSEL recommends that authorship be based on the following 4 criteria:

  1. Significant contributions to the work's conception or design; or the collection, analysis, or interpretation of data.
  2. Drafting or critically reviewing the work for key intellectual content.
  • Final Approval of the manuscript to be published
  1. Acceptance of responsibility for all parts of the work, including ensuring that any doubts about the accuracy or integrity of any portion of the work are closely vetted and resolved.
  2. An author should be able to identify which co-authors are responsible for certain aspects of the work in addition to being accountable for the work he or she has done. Furthermore, authors should have assurance in the integrity of their co-authors' contributions.
